We have a banger of a 7 day challenge running right now..
A seriously great group of people really pulling together, engaging, learning and more importantly practicing
If you are in there let us know
Anyways – A common theme in the welcome Q&A’s of it is always this statement
‘I feel low…’
And usually they follow up with things like
‘I can’t figure out why’
And something I’ll always ask is
Do we need to know why? Do we truly need to know why to start to move forward?
Because I see people looking down that rabbit hole for years before deciding its not worth the effort
It’s pretty widely accepted that whatever we focus on in life grows.. meaning we see more of it or it increases in intensity
And so the constant wondering WHY we are thinking or feeling a certain why
only intensifies that..
It takes us further away from how we want to feel and ever deeper in to how we don’t want to
Your awareness is the most valuable thing you have
And what you place it on will magnify..
And so deciding how we want to feel, and then looking for the smallest glimmer of that in our day is the first step
Sure for a lot of folks it will only feel like a slight glimmer and maybe almost pointless
We want to see big changes after all, yet like turning around a massive boat it’s done a degree at a time…
Small, tiny moments turn in to bigger ones the more we focus on to them and that is the skill
Anyone can focus when life is easy, when not so, well that is where its value really comes in
It takes some practice
It even takes a bit of determination, because usually we finish up the sentence with some kind if BUT
I felt good this morning.. BUT…..
I’m really feeling better for training hard… BUT
Drop the BUT… Stop letting your focus drift off to the lack and keep it steadily on the smallest bits
You may go from feeling down to feeling not so down…
Stressed to not so stressed,,,
But if you make that shift consistently for a few months you will be feeling a whole lot better
